The T20 World Cup starts today in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.

The first round of the T20 World Cup will feature six qualifiers and the ninth and tenth ranked teams, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

From this stage, which runs from October 17 to 22, four teams will join the other top 8 teams in the Super 12 and the Super 12 battle will start on October 23.

The first match between Papua New Guinea and host Oman will be played in Muscat on Sunday, while the second match will be played on the same ground between Bangladesh and Scotland.

The West Indies team will defend the title in the event while other teams will be vying for the trophy.

The tussle will continue for the next four weeks and the champion will be decided on November 14.

Five years later, the ICCT20 World Cup kicks off in Oman on Sunday. The tournament was scheduled in India, but is now being hosted in Oman and the UAE due to the devastation of the corona virus in the country.

Cricket fans around the world are anxiously awaiting this tournament. On the other hand, the heartbeat of the players is also increasing. Group B matches in the preliminary round of the World Cup will be played in Abu Dhabi on Monday, Ireland and the Netherlands will play in the afternoon, Sri Lanka and Namibia will compete in the evening.

It is to be noted that a total prize money of 5.6 million has been allocated for the mega event, the winning team will get 1.6 million and the runners-up 80,000, the losing teams of the semi-finals will get 20,000, Super 12 stage. During this time, the ICC will give 40,000 as a bonus to the winner of each match. The teams that are knocked out of this round will also get 70,000 each.

Similarly, in the first round, a victory will get 40,000, while the knockout team will also get 40,000.

The ICCT2 World Cup kicks off on Sunday, with the International Cricket Council (ICC) already issuing playing conditions.

It may be recalled that Australia had hinted that it would not play in the World Cup with the Afghan team due to the possibility of the Taliban not allowing women cricketers to play.

The ICC says that the team that wins in both the group stages will get 2 points. If the match is tied, the result does not come out or the match is ended, then both the teams will get one point each.

The ICC has also announced a reserve day for both the semi-finals and the final of the mega event, but they will be in general group matches. Every effort will be made to complete both the semi-finals and the final on the scheduled day, even if it requires some necessary cuts in overs, a game of at least 5 overs between the two sides to make a match fruitful. But if the match is not completed on the scheduled day, the match will be completed on reserve day.

The semi-finals of the tournament will be played on October 10 and 11 in Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively. The final will be on November 14.
